7 Hours Cruise around Zakynthos island

About 7 Hours Cruise around Zakynthos island

We pick up you from your resort and bring you to the harbor of Zakynthos Town. Our boat “Delfini” leaves at about 09:30.

Our journey begins as we head north along the east coast or Zakynthos passing the beaches of Tsilivi and Planos and their beautiful surrounding landscapes. After passing the sandy beaches of Alikanas and Alikes we reach sleepy Saint Nickolas in the north, one of the most idyllic fishing villages of the island. Our first stop is at the famous Blue Caves, where the light products by the sun shining on the water, reflects against the wall of the caves and transform the seabed into shades of purple, red and turquoise.

We sail around the Cape Schinari on our way to the South. Maybe you will be lucky enough to spot some dolphins! The difference between the east and the west coast is enormous. The west coast is very steep with several small bays. Our next stop 1 ½ hour is truly breathtaking, something that many of you have seen before but up until now only on postcards, the famous Smuggler’s Wreck! Enter the wreck like a pirate or have a swim in the turquoise water. Keep your camera ready for the fantastic Lagoon of Porto Vromi, which is the oldest fish village of Zakynthos and has two natural ports full of fishing boats and the “FACE of POSEIDON” on the rock. Afterwards, we will visit the Dolphin Caves a complex of about one hundred caves. Three of them are the biggest and in one of them our boat goes inside and stops there for taking photos. Also if you are lucky enough you will spot some dolphins. In the south we’ll visit the famous Caves of Keri. These caves lead very deep inside the mountains of Keri. Time for a refreshing swim at Oasis beach.

Have your cameras ready again for the Island of Marathonisi. Many years ago Marathonisi was connected with Zakynthos. This island is famous for the Caretta-Caretta turtles and has the shape of the turtles. If you are lucky enough and turtles aren’t camera shy you will be able to capture one of your most memorable holiday moments. Next stop for swimming at Mavratzi’s or Geraka’s beach in Vasiliko. On our way back to Zakynthos-town we pass several long sandy beaches like Porto Zoro, Banana Beach, Porto Roma & St. Nickolas Beach, Argasi.

On our return to Zakynthos–town our coach will be waiting for you to bring you back to your resort about 17:00.

Sandwiches, snacks and drinks are available on board!

BBQ on Shipwreck (not included).
