About ANTA - Create your own Mosaic

Experience The Art of Bysantine Mosaics (Hands on activity). Ideal for Artists and Families. We are visiting Ai George of Kremna and the Byzantine mosaic art workshop of the Monastery. There you can create your own mosaic, learning about this rare art. Meal at the Monastery or at a local restaurant.

What we will do:
In a very unique environment of the Monastery of St. George in Noth West Zakynthos you will have the opportunity to explore and experience the making of a Mosaic. Your tutor will be a Monk from the monastery who has studied and perfected this centuries old technique. The materials used is an expensive glass made in Venice, Italy and hand curved stone. From the workshop you have a stunning view of the Ionian Sea, you will be able to see this historic monastery with a Medieval Tower, Church and if you are lucky the wild horses of the Monastery will come to visit you. From the Monastery there is a 4 minute walk to a stunning Viewpoint that you can go and take some beautiful pictures and enjoy the view.
All together this experience is not only educational but has a touch of having travelled back in time!
And for families the children under 4 years old are not charged.
